Indoor Playground

A few weeks ago, on a rainy day, the kids begged Dan to put together a jungle gym that Susu and Bendad had given them for Christmas. Thinking it would just be up inside temporarily, Dan set it up in our sitting room. However, the kids have had so much fun with their "indoor playground" we just can take it down!

Museum Visit...

Yesterday we had to take advantage of the beautiful 65 degree weather! I must say that we can't complain about California winters. So, we took a field trip to sunny Santa Barbara to visit the Natural History Museum.

Having lunch before visiting the museum

Daniel digging for fossils!

We learned about gems and minerals...including this awesome piece of quartz crystal!

Daniel thought this squid was pretty cool...but agreed that the Great White in the background was a little more scary!

Ready for Take Off! The kids learned about flight in the bird hall.

Valentine's Day...

Ok, so I fully realize that I need to do a better job of updating our blog. My apologies! I will also apologize in advance because I know when Rocket is born I will be lucky to update this thing once a year!

Dan, Savannah and I enjoyed a quick trip, last week, back to Nashville. We were so blessed to see all of our church family, friends and neighbors. Love you guys!! Daniel and McKayla stayed here and were totally spoiled by...uh, I mean spent the weekend with Meema. =) We did spend most of last week recovering from colds and such but, finally, I think we're on the mend.

Last Friday we had our Valentine's celebration in school. The kids made classroom decorations, valentines, learned the history of who St. Valentine really was and checked out a bunch of valentine books from the library. The girls, fairly meticulous when it comes to crafts, decorated each valentine uniquely. Daniel, however, got bored and, well, by the picture below found something else to interest him. He said that he likes to wear his scuba mask "just in case." Just in case of what, I'm not sure but obviously he is pretty serious about the whole matter.

Baby Rocket continue to grow. Time is flying, in just 2 weeks I will be in my 3rd trimester. This pregnancy has definitely gone by much faster than the other three. It's hard to believe that soon we will be a family of 6, I can't wait!!

Well, I hope you all are well. We love you so much! Thanks for continuing to keep up with the daily doings of the Francis Clan!
