Annabelle "talks"

Thought you might enjoy a quick video of our wiggly Annabelle! Funny, she was equally as active when I was pregnant with her. (Don't forget to pause the blog music and turn your sound up.) Enjoy!!!!

Fall Fun...

A few pics of the kids before we headed out to a Harvest Party with our good friends. Despite the cold (45 degrees!) everyone played games and got loads of candy. Hope you all had a great night...

Gender Roles Defined in Respect to the Earthworm...

Girl: Maybe my new earthworms would like a ride on my tree swing. Wheeee, look how much fun they're having! (see picture)

Boy: Whoa Dad look, when you pull the earthworm apart both sides are still moving!

Lovely!

Plantation Harvest...

It is officially fall, my favorite time of year! The weather here in Nashville has been great...cool and brisk with the occasional thunderstorm. Earlier this week we had our first field trip of the year at Belle Meade Plantation. The kids learned all about what life would have been like living on a plantation. They made candles, watched a blacksmith create square-headed nails, learned how honey was harvested and made pottery (well, really just squished some clay all over the potter's wheel). Our dear friends met us there which worked well since their two girls and a boy match up perfectly with ours (Annabelle slept soundly in her sling). The older girls enjoyed walking around on their own while the two little girls and the boys stayed with us.

On another note, Daniel hit a milestone today...he wrote his name! He was quite proud of himself as evidenced by his huge grin in the picture. I always think that memories of their "firsts" will be so fun to look back on someday =).

Have a wonderful week. Much love to you all.....

Homecoming....

The last two weeks have really been a whirlwind...saying goodbye to family, cross-country move, 3 kids with strep throat and 1 week without the hubby. However, through God's grace (and some great friends) we survived! So, here we are back home in Nashville with one more kiddo and one less bunny (poor Coconut!)The house is actually starting to look like people live here rather than one that's been ransacked =) We're gearing up for school which we will begin on Sept. 2...a 6th grader, a Kindergartner and a preschooler...hard to believe! Here are two new pictures with more to come.

Prepare your computer for the cuteness overload! (Ok, ok so I'm a little biased).
